The Excitement Of NHL Games For Xbox & Playstation Game Consoles Today

When people look back at their youth it's often through rose tinted spectacles and everything seems like it was much better back then. The food you ate had more taste and the days never seems to end. These days there is not much that you can put your finger on and say that it is definitely better now. That is apart from NHL games for Xbox & Playstation game consoles.

You don't see any kids these days that could get excited about pushing a little white dot around the screen that is supposed to be a puck. The matchstick men that were supposed to resemble a fully padded out Ice hockey player have gone too. Kids still want to play games that they perceive as fun though. Not all progression in presentation means that you will end up with a better game. Lots of the time all you need to enjoy yourself is the basic shapes but you need something. Something like speed and or accuracy to test your reflexes and skill. The games that have gone down in history whether they have been hockey, NHL, console based or not, have all had one thing in common. They have all been very playable. In some, the presentation didn't really matter at all. Like the type with the falling blocks that you have to arrange, many games relied solely on their ability to keep you coming back for more. Hockey games have been no different and no matter who is on the cover of any NHL title, it's what's inside the box that has really mattered.

While both of these games had the very best levels of playability, they really paid little attention to detail with the presentation. The genius that invented either of those really understood what makes people tick. Sadly their talents will be missed but they paved the way forward for sports and action games makers. In this day and age, games console hockey games are so far advanced that if they get any better then they'll be in the room with us. You never know, with the growing popularity of 3D TVs you may see something like a 3D hockey game before long. That technology is probably already with us it's just a case of making it affordable. It's the clever people who make the games that have made sports games of today such as hockey, look good and still keep the game play of the games of old. They realized a long time ago that your couldn't just paint a pretty picture on the screen, you had to actually let the player live it too. They now know that there is no point in releasing a game on to the market that is not up to speed. Especially not when the game in question is carrying the NHL brand. People and especially the younger generation of today are extremely luck to be able to play NHL games for Xbox & Playstation game consoles the way that they do. So much has been done over years of development that it's hard to comprehend what early games were like. Suffice to say they were cumbersome at best.

Real Players Play Playstation Football Games

Once considered a failure due to slow development and limited technology for the majority of home users, Madden NFL has come a long way since its initial release in 1988. To date, the software title has sold better than 85 million copies that total will over 3 billion dollars in sales. Using the names of real players, real plays from professional play books, taking advantage of graphics capabilities and a real game feel are just a few of the reasons Madden football games have come to be one of the most popular playstation football games ever.

It is no secret that Madden was not the original namesake for the game. The designers had reached out to a few other high profile players and even some other coaches, but none were able to participate due to other agreements or a simple lack of interest. Madden came on board and educated the designers, and ironically, it is the game and not his professional career as a coach and announcer that has brought him the most recognition. The game has not remained static by any means. New things are added to each new version which is released every year. Almost 10 years after the game began a new mode called franchise mode was created. This allowed people to control the players if they chose to do so, but it also allowed for drafting, trades, and other functions of a general manager. It was the fist of its type for a football game.

In 2003 multiple ways to play the game were introduced. Players could opt for a single, quick game or they could choose to play an entire season or even multiple seasons. It was as time time that online play, where players could match their skills against others using the internet, was introduced. This was initially available only on the playstation 2 console. A new feature called the playmaker tool was included in the 2004 version. This was a feature that enhanced the realism of the game considerably. Players could now make changes to the direction of plays after they broke the huddle. Previously they were limited to 4 audibles, but now they could be more flexible and could send receivers on hot routes too.

When the 2005 version was released, the playmaker tool was implemented for the defense. This was an important addition since in the previous versions the offense could make changes that were difficult for the defense to adjust to. Now, the defense could use the joystick to make adjustments just as the offense could. This made the game more fair on both sides of the ball and once again enhanced it's realism. Later released added more new and exciting features such as the trick stick, the ability to control lead blockers for enhanced running plays, a new weapons control for superstar players, and league play. League play allowed for up to 32 people to play an entire season week by week on the internet. Newer versions are moving Madden to a true-to-life football simulation making it more than just a game.

Playstation football games have dominated for good reason and have become as much a simulation as they are a video game. Playstation 3 Madden football games have been super popular for over 20 years, and future development promise to make the simulation even more true to life.

The Competition Of Video Game Madden Tournaments Among The Faithful Of The Collection

Imagine a crowd forming around and chanting you name. People are screaming in joy and there are high fives going all around. No this is not a concert that you are the star of but one of the many Video game madden tournaments that are held all across the country each and every year.

Any fan that has spent any amount of time playing video games are used to the name and the franchise that has hit the market harder than a linebacker. This has reached a fever pitch in regards to having tournaments that determine a winner that heads to eventually to the nationals that are held every year. Here they crown a world champion.

After they have mastered this, then they head to a local tournament and place their skills against others that have probably done the same as they did. This becomes interesting as many times you will see two different types of game plans in use at these tournaments. All across sports bars in the country, there are tournaments that award prizes to the winner. These can become loud and passionate at times, but in the end it is all about who has the best skills to survive and be crowned the champion. This is one of the more popular tournaments that has taken off all across the country.

There is a lot of dedication that is placed into these tournaments and often times they are held in a one day time span. The quarters are reduced to five minutes, making the challenge that much more intense. For many of these people this is more than a game, they act like this is their playoffs and they are heading for the championship. There is a great amount of strategy that goes into forming a play against another opponent that you have no idea is going to run on you. This makes things a lot more difficult and means that you need to adjust on the fly in such a circumstance. These tournaments allow a person to see and feel what it is like to be an actual coach. They are having to second guess their opponents and hope that they have the best game plan in place.

When it is all said and done, there can only be one true winner, the player that is able to out move and outwit their opponents will be rewarded with the game console and if it is a national event a trip to the next round of playoffs. This is where things become tougher and the stakes are higher.

Maybe it is the thrill of playing as your favorite player, or the draw of knowing that you are the best at something. Whatever the reason for the popularity, there seems to be no end in sight for this franchise and for the fans that love the game. The next time that you see an advertisement for Video game madden tournaments, remember that somewhere there is a player that is training to have the right to be called champion and working towards the ultimate goal of being the best in the world.
